Hand contact with the ice is eliminated since the scoop has a built-in knuckle and thumb guard. The internal scoop holder stays above the ice to provide easy access and prevent contamination.

The unit's the door is at a 53-degrees angle, which allows staff members to easily access the entire bin. The door can be made to automatically stay open for scooping thanks to an internal self-latch system.
